Our Name
3,000 Years of History. One Purpose.
Anfa is the ancient Berber name for Casablanca, meaning "hill" or "the summit." Settled by Berber communities around the 10th century BC, Anfa became a strategic port used by Phoenician traders and later by the Romans, who established a commercial harbour called Anfus around 15 BC under Emperor Augustus.
For millennia, this city has been a crossroads of civilisations, trade and ambition. In the 8th century, Anfa served as the capital of the independent Berber kingdom of Barghawata. After centuries of transformation, it was rebuilt in the 18th century by Sultan Mohammed ben Abdallah and renamed ad-Dār al-Bayḍāʾ ( The White House ) — Casablanca.
We chose this name deliberately. It speaks to what we believe: that Morocco has always been a place where worlds converge, where opportunity meets those bold enough to seek it, and where discretion is not just valued — it is essential.
